-1500y: Zimu becomes majority religion
-1000y: Around this time, Erkettun was a melange of dukedoms, counties and self-ruling merchant republics. These dukedoms united against invaders, successfully defending at the nation's mountainous borders. At this point in time, Sobenia was not ruled by Erkettunians, instead being inhabited by a different ethnicity. Similarly, Sini had related minority ethnicities.
-753y: Erkettun centralizes around the merchant town of Sobanu, ruled by now King Shir I.
-681y: Holy Zimade declared for Sobenia, as prophecy is unravelled revealing holy destiny to touch Lake Sirano
-654y: Sobenia fully annexed, ruthless repression started
-615y to -602y: Erkettuni civil war as rival houses claim the land.
-601y: Erkettun king declares the Royal Peace and pledges peace in the land for "the next 6 centuries", as 6 is a heavenly number in Ziman numerology. Citizens allowed to own their own weaponry and form militias sanctioned by the king.
-343y: Cities gain increased autonomy and roads start being built by various rich merchants, as low taxation policy in Sobenian peacetime allows them to expand and link the otherwise disparate Erkettuni cities. Kurto and Sini start prospering
-259y: Military Road Network built and owned by king; the people rejoice.
-101y: Industrial revolution hits Erkettun, immediate golden age is started as the invisible hand of the free market guides the nation. Rise of socialism averted by the strongly religious population which cherishes charity and justice.
-54y: Irads experiences upheaval as large corporations stop following religious mandate; lynchings and church intervention restore original balance.
-47y: Yubaria is colonized and a naval outpost set up
-32y: The Arctic Territories are claimed by Erkettun and a small military and navy outpost is set up. Due to the large distance between the homeland and the island, it remains otherwise uninhabited and the small military presence is unable to exert much power outside of a small area.
-10y: Erkettun's king Saduk V dies and his only son and heir, Saduk VI, inherits the throne at the age of 23
-1y: His Royal Highness' Prime Minister, Jimbo Dzut is assassinated by communist radicals. The new prime minister is set in place on January 1st, 1920

The Zimu religion is an organized religion that appeared in the year -1621, founded by the prophet Haihr. Central to the religion is the sun god Zimu, of which all living beings are considered part of. The core of the ideals of the religion is the need to become more alike Zimu, to the point that one can, himself, be called god. By acknowledging the truth and following the tenets of the religion, one can become closer to Zimu; on the other hand, if one denies the truth of Zimu then he is to varying degrees lacking in godhood and even participating in devilhood. The antithesis of Zimu is Miza, the god of the underworld. To prevent Miza's rise it is considered sometimes necessary to participate in so called Zimades, smiting those who are participating in mizahood or achieving prophesies long foretold.

Zimu rulers, monks and high priests are considered close enough to Zimu to be called gods. This has led to the 12th century (-900y) being called the War of the Gods in Erkettuni culture.
