Dear the head of state to which this document was addressed,

a simple note before you start reading, when you finish, burn everything we sent you, the report, this letter, even the envelope, quite a bit depends on it

We have decided to make ourselves known in some small way, in short, there are things out there that would not be understood, can not be understood, and some that will never be understood. Our job is to protect the people of the world, including your nation, from these things, because make no mistake, if some of the things, for lack of a better, got free reign, well, we wouldn't be at the top of the food chain anymore. So for all our sakes, it's best that we just simply operate, and you step aside and let the professionals work, because sometimes, the best of intentions can only make it worse, much worse.
(OOC NOTE: Maus did approve use of his nation for this event)

We are thrilled to see the Voronin Dynasty reinstated to its former divine authority, as without the late Serafim, The Holy Celestial Empire would not be a bastion for Conviction and Holiness that it is.

The day is over and all polling stations have closed. In the end over 80% of eligible voters cast their votes and in a surprise victory, Option I has come from behind to win with 62% of voters choosing to reinstate the Voronin Dynasty and place Princess Sofiya on the throne. Option II ended up receiving 31% of the vote, while Option III was chosen by only 6% of the people. The strong Semuyist beliefs held by many of the voters seems to have been a primary factor in the victory of Option I, as the Voronin family is still viewed by many on the Ryudinian continent as being descended from divinity and it seems that they believe more in their faith than the system of democracy. The Socialist Republic of Ryudinia seems to be respecting the results of the referendum and Sofiya has stated that she shall be making an official announcement after her enthronement and the state funeral of her family.

Events - IC / The Zverskograd Referendum
« Last post by Para on 12 May, 2017, 04:22:49 am »
Citizens of the territory currently controlled by the Provisional Government of Zverskograd have come out the in the millions to cast their votes in the Referendum demanded by the Treaty of Zverskograd. Nearly 40% of the population has voted so far with large lines still remaining at many of the voting stations across the country. The referendum and its results are being monitored by officials from the Socialist Republic of Ryudinia to ensure that there is no voter fraud or any other attempts to influence votes at the booths. On the ballot, voters are given the choice between three options:

(I) Restore the Voronin Dynasty to Absolute Power, with Sofiya Voronina as the reigning monarch of Zverskograd.

(II) Establish a Parliamentary Monarchy, in which the people shall elect representatives to serve in a legislative body. The elected leader of the legislative body shall have full executive authority. The Voronin Dynasty shall remain in a ceremonial position, and shall act as the De jure head of state.

(III) Establish a Republic, in which the Voronin Dynasty shall retain no legal power, shall renounce their titles, and shall be granted no powers or rights above that of the ordinary citizen. Should this option succeed, a pension of one thousand credits per year shall be set aside for the Voronin Dynasty until the death of Princess Sofiya Voronina.

Early results seem to indicate that Option II holds a small lead, with Option I close behind and Option III in dead last. However, this is only reporting from about 40% of the voters and there are still significant numbers of votes left to be cast and counted, so these results could change at any time.

The government of Rhenania takes great offense to the insinuation that we would steal funds promised to the families of soldiers who died in our nation's defense. You may keep the money that you offer in bad faith, alongside the false apologies that you issue while raising a mutineer to admiralty.

Fight Breaks out in Zhorreik
Cascadian Report, July 1921

Tensions have been rising in Zhorreik, and, last month, conflict finally erupted. A group of about fifty Zhor'as engaged in a small riot, doing damage to several businesses, a post office and assaulting a police officer. Twelve of rioters were killed when police officers attempted to intervene. The remaining people are being held in prison, and will have their trial in the coming week.
Several of the individuals are members of the Zhor'as People's Army, a terrorist organization which aims to start a revolution and send West Cascadus' Emmerian population back to Aeseria.
