An hour later the Lorvasan envoy party was ready. Mounted on the sleek Lorvasan Chargers of the Royal guard, in full ceremonial dress uniform, the Royal Guardsmen of Lorvasa, and Princess Maria Ral'Zarin made their way through the city. They made a long, parade tour, flying the Lorvasan flag high from the lance of the color guard, the trumpetteer announcing their presence to the locals as they made their way to the palace. A few peasants pulling hand carts behind the Royal Envoy was handing out small trinkets from Lorvasa to any curious onlookers who gathered to see what the commotion was.
Small bits of Lorvasan wood carving art, decorations proclaiming the peace and friendship of the Principality of Lorvasa, carved toy models of Lorvasan Royal Guards, and similar such little doodads of good will.
By the time they had gotten to the palace, all but the largest gift had been handed out to the citizens of Rhenania. There two members of the Royal Guard dismounted, helping Princess Maria Ral'Zarin down from her mount with grace. The Princess strode out towards the Palace Guard.
"Lorvasan Envoy, Princess Ral'Zarin," she announced herself in clipped militant tones. The Princess, one of the possible heirs of Lorvasa, one of the fourth most powerful figures in the country, they clearly didn't send just some random middle manager diplomat to this function. She was a hard woman in bearing, standing with military precision, looking quite comfortable with the weight of her uniform and the ceremonial Lorvasan Axe on her hip. Black hair with a wide, white patch on her right side cut in a military fashion, with dark green eyes that looked as hard as jade, and pale skin who's porcelain perfection was marred by laceration scarring on the right side of her face, visible from the collar of her uniform up to her hairline. A wound she had suffered from a Ryudinian Tank in the Battle of Jantzen.
